Silver Streak® Service Parts Will Be Sold Under Oregon® Brand

Portland, Or- Silver Streak® lawn and garden products, currently sold in Canada by Frederick Manufacturing, will be sold under the Oregon® brandname worldwide. ODL Canadian Sales Manager John Limoges will continue to head sales for the Canadian market.

"We are excited by the opportunity to synergize the best practices of Frederick and Oregon® into an organization more responsive to the needs of our present and future customers. The consolidation of advertising, marketing, sales and purchasing will absolutely result in a stronger, more market driven product line with amazing growth potential for all our customers," said Jim Osterman, president of Blount, Inc's Outdoor Products Group, which comprises Oregon Cutting Systems, Frederick Manufacturing, and Dixon Industries.

Oregon® Vice President of Marketing Cyrille Michel said the change, to be completed by early fall, will enable Oregon® territory managers to be responsible for smaller territories resulting in improved quality of service to distributors, dealers, and users. "We can better service the interests of our dealers by using the high-profile Oregon® brandname in all our markets," Michel said.

The former Silver Streak® line will be now called Oregon® Outdoor Equipment Parts and will be sold in Oregon® highly recognizable red, black, and white professional-product packaging.

Michel said Oregon® will have three types of distributors. A distributor currently selling the Silver Streak® line will transition to the Oregon® Outdoor Equipment Parts line. For distributors now selling the existing Oregon® line and those distributors already carrying both lines, there'll be no changes other than the brandname and packaging.

Oregon® ODL Canadian Sales Manager John Limoges will head the combined Canadian sales force and Ken Day, Frederick Manufacturing President, will continue in that post. Frederick Sales Manager Jerry Lee will have a new role focusing on OEM, national accounts and new-business opportunities.

"Frederick will continue servicing distributors from our Kansas City, Missouri, plant and warehouse. Customer Service Representatives for Oregon® Outdoor Equipment Parts will also be in Kansas City," Day said.

Theo Turgeon Equipement Inc. Nominated as New Distributor of Oregon® Forestry products and Oregon Outdoor Equipment Products

Oregon Distribution Limited is pleased to announce the nomination of Theo Turgeon Equipement Inc.
as a new distributor of Oregon® Forestry products and Oregon® Outdoor Equipment Products in the province of Ontario. Turgeon Equipement joins Briggs and Stratton- Canada and Carl Steinburg Recreational Products as distributors of Oregon® Forestry products in Ontario.
