Welcome to the chain safety information page. The following information is for both non-professional and professional users of chainsaws. The Technical Services Department of Oregon Cutting Systems offers a free safety seminar program to our customers in Canada. If your organization uses chainsaws, and if safety for your people is a high priority, look into our Service School Program. The following are some instructions and helpful hints for protecting yourself from injury and, at the same time, taking advantage of the tremendous utility and labor savings afforded by modern chainsaws. A chainsaw is not a toy. Be absolutely sure to thoroughly read the operator's manual supplied with your chainsaw. Follow exactly the manufacturer's cutting chain sharpening and other chainsaw maintenance instructions. The following information is not meant to replace the information provided in the operator's manual for your specific chainsaw. |
